Roles-

  • Provide leadership to the partnership in agriculture technology
  • Provide technical expertise in agricultural technology
  • Provide communication between industry, organization and educational institutions

Goals-

  • The sponsoring college will host a national Critical Issues Conference and 4 Professional Development workshops each year for the purpose of establishing critical issues, curriculum development or training. (Expenses and content for the conferences are the responsibility of the Center)
  • The sponsoring college is responsible for the management and has fiscal responsibility for grant resource.
  • The sponsoring college is responsible for assuring that the objectives of AgrowKnowledge are carried out.

Kirkwood is a national leader in Agricultural Geospatial Technology and Animal Technology. As a community college they graduate the second largest number of 2-year agricultural students in the country. Kirkwood will provide leadership, facilities and administration of the grant. They will also provide expertise in animal and crop production for the Midwest region, veterinary technology and agricultural geospatial technologies.
