AgrowKnowledge is stepping up the teaching abilities of agriculture, food, and natural resources educators by providing instruction in how to write and apply case-study and problem-based learning methodology to their respective disciplines. The case-study method recognizes that knowledge is understood and applied within a context the study of individual case situations. A case describes a specific situation centering on a decision or problem important to the field, and deals with issues associated with that decision. It calls for the student to engage in problems and situations that parallel the world of work, to develop an understanding of key content and to engage in critical thinking. Problem-based learning is another learning approach that also directly engages students in learning using real-life problems faced by agriculturist and industry.

AgrowKnowledge is pleased to have two outstanding educators experienced in applying these methodologies as academicians in agriculture to lead our Pre-conference workshop sessions on May 28 and provide plenary session at the conference.
